I have reasons
but not important and not convincing
yet, I'm back
and that's what that matters.
What I've wanted to say now, after half a year is that I wanted to write about anything I want and not just specific topics.
I've been reading alot lately, during my summer holidays.
My Sister's Keeper by Jodin Picoult
The Diary of Anne Frank by Anne Frank
re-reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling (duh.)
A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks
My Sister's Keeper is a great one. Touching, lovely and sad about the Fitzgerald family filled with endless problems and tantrums. Kathy had leukemia since she was still a little kid. Her parents, Brian and Sara then planned to have a new baby, Anna, so that she can provide whatever Kathy needs when she needed them. Bone marrows, blood, etc. It was heart breaking when Kathy's first love died!!!! And that part about Sara shaving of her hair when Kathy went upset as she lost all her hair due to having treatments at the hospital was touching indeed. The pain the Fitzegerald went thru is unbearable, I totally hope this won't happen to anyone on earth! But the ending was quite dissapointing, I reckon Anna shouldn't have died, even she did, I didn't think dying that way was ... satisfying..? Haha, but altogether, I rate it 8/10. Worth reading, I wish people who had good and healthy families but still have many to complain can get something out of this book.
For those who don't prefer books, you can watch the movie also named My Sister's Keeper directed by Nick Cassavetes. Cameron Diaz did a well job being a quite mental mother, it was good, too. Except it cut out a character from the book, Julia which was quite somebody. Overall, I give it 8/10 too!

The Diary of Anne Frank
I've heard about it since high school, when studying World War II and since then I was interested in her. It is a real diary written by of course, Anne about her life hiding as Nazis were hunting for Jews. The diary, name Kitty was founded after Anne and her family were betrayed and taken away. The whole family of four, only the father survived. I haven't quite finish it yet, as it wasn't what I expected. I thought there would be plenty of facts talking about the war, but instead it had not much details about the war as she was always in hiding. But what I think that makes this book popular was because of her, Anne. She was no more than 15 years old but her thoughts are strong, mature than anyone at her age. Her philosphy, I should say, was totally from herself, as there were no Google those days and all she had was a radio and few friends that help her and her family hide. She was strong, and I believe stronger than anyone in her family.
Quite a few things amazed me from her diary. For example, when she found out how the Jews were terribly killed and tortured she wrote "Must I keep thinking about those other people, whatever I'm doing? And if I want to laugh about something, should I stop myself quickly and feel ashamed that I am cheerful? Ought I then to cry the whole day long? No, that I can't do." and "It won't do us any good, or help those outside, to go on being as gloomly as we are at the moment." If this phrases were in a storybook or a fiction, it would mean lesser. But this was Anne's word, she was 14 when she wrote this. And i truly respect her for being so rational. People really do always think like that, being gloomy at one's funeral and forbid people to have a reason to laugh. And once, Anne wrote "I love Mummy and Margot( her sister) ,but because they are Mummy and Margot." She wasn't going well with her mother and sister, people always think Margot is the good and sweet one because she is always obedient. Not like Anne, who likes to fight back when she doesn't approve. Well, this is an answer for also, people who had family fights. I think we should love our friends and family because they are them, and that's what I call those who love me no matter how I treated them true friends, and family, no doubt I love them because of who they are.
This is not a very dramatic book, but worth reading and understanding. Quite alot to learn from her.
Ahh...quite exausted.
I guess I'll countinue the other two books later.
Hope you enjoy it.
